The Verizon IndyCar Series announced on Tuesday ahead of the start of the 2018 season at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg this weekend that American Medical Response have been named as the new official sponsor of the Verizon IndyCar Series Safety Team.
The multi-year agreement will see the AMR IndyCar Safety Team used at every race starting this weekend and AMR will provide emergency and non emergency medical transportation for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Holmatro will remain as the official safety tool and equipment provider to the Verizon IndyCar Series.
IndyCar president of competition and operations, Jay Frye commented by saying:

President and CEO of AMR Ted Van Horne commented on the new partnership by saying:
The INDYCAR Safety Team has a world-renowned history of setting the standard for emergency services in motorsports, and AMR is proud to sponsor the group for the 2018 season and onward. “With our focus on safety and experience providing onsite medical responses at numerous sports venues, there is a natural fit for us to sponsor the safety team. We are also pleased to be the official provider of ambulance services at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
