The Verizon IndyCar Series heads to Iowa Speedway this weekend for the Iowa Corn 300 which is the shortest oval event on the 2018 schedule.
The teams and drivers expect a unique challenge from the circuit this weekend due to the new universal aero kit. Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon goes into the race this weekend aiming to bounce back from a a tough race here last year.
Dixon can take comfort from the fact that he heads into the weekend with a 45 point advantage over second placed Ryan Hunter Reay however the Iceman will be wanting to increase his points advantage due to the fact he has had a great season to date.
Andretti Autosport go into this weekend’s race off the back of an extremely strong test here at the end of last month with the team occupying 1,2,3,4 in the session.
