Paretta Autosport’s Simona De Silvestro says that being back at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as she prepares for her first Indianapolis 500 since 2015 feels like coming home and that she feels the most comfortable in an IndyCar.

Speaking to NBC’s Marty Synder, during the opening day of testing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday the 32-year-old Swiss driver, who will compete for Paretta Autosport in a Penske backed Chevrolet said that she plans to take it easy on track over the next two days and to get through the refresher course later today as it will give her time to bed in with the team.

De Silvestro thanked Porsche for allowing her the opportunity to return to the NTT IndyCar Series for the Indianapolis 500 with Paretta Autosport as she had always planned to return to the series and jumped at the opportunity when team owner Beth Paretta contacted her in October about the opportunity.
