Mark Miles, CEO of Hulman and Company, the owners of IndyCar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway says that it is terrific that Verizon will remain involved with the series in 2019 and beyond through the primary sponsorship of Team Penske’s Will Power.
Verizon’s five year stint as primary sponsor to the IndyCar Series came to an end on December 31 and Miles couldn’t have been happier with how the partnership panned out.
Speaking to IndyCar.com Miles said:
They loved racing, so their involvement with the teams and the Verizon P1 Award and their serious work to bring their big customers to the track and expose them to racing was important to us.
“They also advertised on our (race) telecasts. They helped develop our app that the race fans liked.
Verizon played an instrumental role in bringing fans closer to the action with various fan engagement measures for Verizon customers.
Paddock Eye understand that an announcement on who will be IndyCar’s new title sponsor will come in the next few weeks.
