McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown says that it is perfect timing for the Woking based outfit to enter the NTT IndyCar Series full time this season.
McLaren announced towards the end of last year that they have entered into a partnership with Sam Schmidt forming Arrow McLaren SP with Patricio O Ward and Oliver Askew joining the team to form the youngest driving pairing of 2020.
In a Q&A session with the official McLaren website on Thursday, Brown said that North America is the biggest market for the team and their car brand McLaren Automotive.
Brown also said that the US market is important for their team partners and it enables US fans of the team to follow their progress throughout the 2020 IndyCar Series season including the Indianapolis 500.
The team who will be powered by Chevrolet announced their first major technical signing of the off season just before Christmas with the news that Craig Hampson has joined the team.
