The Formula One silly season for 2019 has begun way to early in 2018. The season is only nine races old and already certain media outlets in Italy and elsewhere have been reporting that Scuderia Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen will be replaced by highly rated Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 driver Charle LeClerc who has reportedly agreed a two year contract with the Maranello based outfit.
The Iceman who is Ferrari’s last world champion has taken five podium finishes in the first nine races of the 2018 Formula One season.
Following his second place finish in Austria, Kimi Raikkonen has moved into third place in the championship just 45 points behind his team mate and championship leader Sebastian Vettel.
Charle LeClerc isn’t the only driver who has been linked to Raikkonen’s seat at Ferrari with the Haas F1 Team’s Kevin Magnussen been linked to a move to the Prancing Horse.
Raikkonen has also been linked with a return to McLaren having driven for the Woking based outfit from 2002 – 2006. The Iceman scored his first Formula One victory with McLaren at the 2003 Malaysian Grand Prix.
