Marcus Ericsson who drives the No.7 Arrow Electronics Honda for Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports in the NTT IndyCar Series has described his first oval outing like something he has nevever experienced before.
The Swede joined fellow rookies Ben Hanley and Colton Herta at Texas Motor Speedway last week so that they could complete their rookie oval orientation prior to Wednesday’s open test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Taking to Twitter he said:
First time on an oval for me yesterday @TXMotorSpeedway . Incredible feeling, like nothing I’ve ever done before! It was difficult but a lot of fun. Lucky to have such a great team @SPMIndyCar and teammates @Hinchtown @robertwickens to help me getting comfortable and up to speed.
