Cassidy will test with the team as they evaluate potential replacements for the Arrow McLaren IndyCar team-bound Alex Palou.
Paddock Eye understands that six-time NTT IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon’s contract with Chip Ganassi Racing is up at the end of the 2023 season, although the Iceman is expected to sign a multi-year contract extension with Chip Ganassi Racing.
It is conceivable that Chip Ganassi Racing could have three New Zealand drivers with Scott Dixon, Nick Cassidy and Marcus Armstrong alongside Marcus Ericsson and Takuma Sato.
