Four time NTT IndyCar Series champion and three time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti says he is impressed with how quickly seven time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson is adapting to IndyCar.
Franchitti who is a driver advisor with Chip Ganassi Racing spent Monday morning with Johnson and Alex Palou who it was announced last week will drive the No.10 Honda next year.
Franchitti who competed in the No.10 for Chip Ganassi Racing winning all but one of his championships and Indy 500’s with the team tweeted:
Despite persuading @AlexPalou and I that a 6.40am track walk was a good idea it was a cracking 1st official day in an @IndyCar with @CGRTeams for @JimmieJohnson Barber is bloody difficult, I know, I’ve crashed at most of the corners! fantastic to see how quickly JJ is adapting 👊🏼 https://t.co/4rvZQST3SS
