Dale Coyne Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais says that it is going to be a tough weekend for him as he returns to the Verizon IndyCar Series paddock for the Honda Indy Toronto for the first time since his crash during qualifying for the Indianapolis 500.
Speaking during Thursday’s welcome press conference at the Honda Indy Toronto, Bourdais stated:
Mixed feelings, obviously. I’m not a good spectator, so it’s going to be a tough weekend for me. It’s a place where I was looking forward to come and race, so, yeah, bittersweet, but in the meantime, it could have been a lot worse and I could not be walking and I could not be there. There’s a lot of things that could be much worse. Like I said from the beginning, it was my mistake and I’m paying for it, so we’ve just got to suck it up and deal with it.”
