Helio Castroneves says that it’s good to be back at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the Brazilian prepares for the month of May and his return to the NTT IndyCar Series.

The Brazilian, is aiming to score his fourth Indianapolis 500 win and returns to Team Penske alongside his team mates Josef Newgarden, Simon Pagenaud and last year’s Indianapolis 500 winner Will Power.

Speaking to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway website, Castroneves said:

It’s good to be back. “I did do the simulator. Being in the IMSA program, you’re seated in a different position. Now jumping into the Indy car, I thought: ‘This is not my seat. I’m laying down so much.’ Then I thought, ‘No, this has been your seat for 20 years.’ I’m excited to go back again in an Indy car.

Castroneves took victory on his debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Team Penske in 2001 and did the double winning again in 2002. The Brazilian took victory once again in 2009.

Castroneves was back in an IndyCar for the IndyCar Spring Training test at the Circuit of the Americas and is looking forward to getting back in the car.

I’m out of the Indy car, but the Indy car doesn’t go out of me. “Twenty years doesn’t go away just because I wasn’t in the Indy car.
