It has been a very dramatic inaugural W Series championship with Jamie Chadwick leading the standings on 98 points as the series heads for their final race of the season in Brands Hatch England next weekend.

Chadwick was been on the podium in each of the six races that the W Series have had in 2019 however she has competition from Dutch driver Beitske Visser who is just 13 points behind Chadwick in the race for the title. Marta Garcia is in third place on 62 points.

The W Series has been running as the support category to the DTM championship in the 2019 and has proven to be a great success in its first season and was aired live on Channel 4 throughout the season.

The series has received support from Rokit Williams Racing deputy team principal Claire Williams and earlier this season the Grove based outfit announced that Jamie Chadwick has joined the team as their development driver and joined the outfit at both the British Grand Prix in Silverstone and last weekend’s German Grand Prix.

The W Series has been a great stage for competitive races and it has been great to see close racing throughout the field. W Series CEO Catherine Bond Muir and her team have done a fantastic job with the series and it has been wonderful to see how the series has progressed during its inaugural season.
