Verizon IndyCar Series driver James Hinchcliffe of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda has gone from fighting for his life following a crash at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May 2015, back to the race track and from there to the Dancing With The Stars dance floor.
The Mayor of HinchTown missed the majority of the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series following his huge Indianapolis 500 practice crash, spending months in hospital. Speaking during last weeks edition of Dancing With The Stars, Hinchcliffe’s mum Arlene said that following the crash, James apologized for not being an accountant to which her response was.

On September 28, less than four months following his accident, the Mayor Of HinchTown returned to the cockpit of his Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Verizon IndyCar Series Honda.
Hinchcliffe secured three podium finishes in the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series, with a third place at the Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis, a third place at the Honda Toronto Indy while he is also secured a second place at the Firestone 600.
Hinchcliffe’s biggest moment of 2016 however, was when he took pole position for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
Hinchcliffe has now gone from the race track to the dance floor following in the footsteps of fellow Verizon IndyCar Series driver Helio Castroneves, joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars.
The Canadian and his professional dance partner Sharna Burgess are doing an incredible job with Hinch showing that he is extremely talented on the dance floor as well as the race track.
Dancing With The Stars airs tonight at 8PM on ABC.
