Seven time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson who makes the transition to the NTT IndyCar Series with Chip Ganassi Racing this season says that it was very beneficial for him to have been involved in the full team test at Sebring International Raceway earlier this week as preseason testing got underway,

Speaking to Paddock Eye from Daytona on Saturday, Johnson said that going into his debut season in the NTT IndyCar Series as a 45 year old rookie has been made easier given the fact he has joined a team who have a wealth of experienced drivers in their line up including six time and defending series champion Scott Dixon in the team.

Johnson also said that it was beneficial for him when he tested at Barber Motorsports Park last year as the entire team was there to help and support him as this where the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season will kick off from on April 18.

Speaking to Paddock Eye about the Rolex 24 Hours next weekend, Johnson said that he had changed how he approaches the race having come from NASCAR in terms of his cardio.
