Seven time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson who drives the No.48 Ally Racing Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports will test for Chip Ganassi Racing on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course on Tuesday.

The test was originally due to take place following the Brickyard 400 on July 8 however it was postponed after Johnson contracted COVID 19.

The test will be a way for Johnson and Ganassi to evaluate whether or not IndyCar is something the 44 year old wants to do.

Speaking during a recent conference call Johnson said he would also like to reschedule his test with Arrow McLaren SP however at this point in time the team are just focusing on their race drivers Pato O’Ward and Oliver Askew.
