Germain Racing owner Bob Germain announced on Monday that he has sold his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series team after 17 years in the series. The news came on the same day that NBA legend Michael Jordan announced that he will enter the series in 2021 with Bubba Wallace driving the car.

Paddock Eye has learnt that Jordan has in fact purchased the team charter belonging to Bob Germain.

Germain Racing have Ty Dillon in the No.13 Geico Chevrolet for the rest of the 2020 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series with Michael Jordan confirming that further details on what manufacturer the team will use, the team name and Wallace’s car number will be announced in the coming weeks.
