Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Sting Ray Robb and Conor Daly both had solid races in Detroit on Sunday. Sting Ray Robb in the No.77 Chevrolet started the race from 26th place and came home 15th. Speaking following the race, he said:
“Oh my goodness. What a weekend… The improvements the team made every single session were unbelievable. I’ve never had a race weekend where you can turn a car around so much. So to the JHR team: you guys are amazing, I love you, and thank you for giving me a good race car today. P15 from P26, we had a car to go further than that, but we have to give ourselves a better chance in qualifying…
Conor Daly started the race from 25th place and ended the race in 17th place and suffered contact on the final restart of the race and speaking following the race he commented saying:
I thought we were in a position to do a little bit better… Just a tough one overall. I mean we did make up positions which was good. We did improve the car… Obliviously we want to go to St. Louis now which is one of my favorite tracks and where I know we can win, and try to give it our best shot there.”
The team now has a break after a gruelling five weeks of track action before the season gets underway again with the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway in St Louis in mid-June.
