Juncos Racing team owner Ricardo Juncos has confirmed that his outfit are looking into the possibility of expanding their Verizon IndyCar Series programme for 2018 to include the entire season.
Kyle Kaiser will make the step up to the Verizon IndyCar Series with Juncos in 2018 having won the Indy Lights Championship in 2017.
Juncos, whose team made their Indianapolis 500 debut this year at the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil with two cars driven by Spencer Pigot and Sebastian Saavedra with Chevrolet power.
Paddock Eye understands that Juncos will run just one car with Kyle Kaiser with Ricardo Juncos confirming that the moment the team are running four events in 2018 with two of those races guaranteed to be the IndyCar Grand Prix of Indianapolis and the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
Ricardo Juncos has confirmed that the other two races could be the street circuits in Long Beach (The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach) and Toronto (Honda Indy Toronto).
Juncos has also revealed that Kaiser is keen to compete in the final race of the year in Sonoma.
The 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series season gets underway from March 9-11 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
