Tony Kanaan has several options open to him for the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series after he revealed on Sunday before the start of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway that he is a free agent.
Andretti Autosport may have a number of seats available if they make the switch from Honda to Chevrolet for 2018. A move to Chevrolet would see Takuma Sato leave the team while it is also believed that Honda are keen to hold on to Alexander Rossi.
Chip Ganassi Racing could be interested in signing Alexander Rossi which could see he and Kanaan switch seats.
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports could also be an option for the Brazilian alongside James Hinchcliffe in the No.7 Lucas Oil Honda if the Mayor of HinchTown remains with the outfit.
It is also believed that Kanaan is keen to drive for AJ Foyt Racing which would see him return to Chevrolet power. Foyt who was not at the ABC Supply 500 over the weekend is believed to be planning big changes at the outfit for next season following an extremely difficult 2017 campaign for the team.
