AJ Foyt Racing’s Tony Kanaan who drives the No.14 ABC Supply Chevrolet in the NTT IndyCar Series still has a lot to offer the NTT IndyCar Series both on and off the circuit. The Brazilian who is one of the most experienced drivers in the series will make his 309th consecutive start and equals his team boss AJ Foyt for total starts at 369 races.

Kanaan who won the IndyCar championship in 2004 with Andretti Green Racing (Andretti Autosport).

TK has won ten races during his impressive career in the NTT IndyCar Series and has ten pole positions, his wins include the 2013 Indianapolis 500 with KV Racing’s Technology. Kanaan has been extremely quick on all sorts of circuits including here in Texas where in 2016 he finished on the podium in third place for Chip Ganassi Racing behind race winner Graham Rahal and second placed James Hinchcliffe.

An unnamed motor racing journalist took to Twitter on Friday following qualifying for today’s DXC Technology 600 at Texas Motor Speedway where TK will start the race from 22nd place after brushing the wall to say something extremely disrespectful not only to Tony, but his team, the NTT IndyCar Series and the fans of this great sport.

As Paddock Eye reported yesterday, AJ Foyt Racing are working extremely hard to give both TK and Mathues Matt Leist the car that will allow the team to return to competitive racing.

Kanaan is extremely popular among his rivals and and is a fan favourite and with that support he and AJ Foyt Racing will work through the issues that they have had and will be fighting for strong results in the second half of the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series season and lay firm foundations for the 2020 season.
