Andretti Autosport’s Kyle Kirkwood in the No.27 AutoNation Honda says that he hoping to continue his momentum from his win at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix on the streets of Nashville last weekend into the Gallagher Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the IMS road course on Saturday.

“After a win in Nashville, I’m looking forward to continuing the momentum and returning to Indy this week with the No. 27 team. The second road course at IMS usually goes better for Andretti Autosport than the first one because we learn a lot. Then it usually translates to something good for the second race. We’re aiming to kind of redeem ourselves as we didn’t have that strong of finishes the last time we raced on that road course. So, fingers crossed we get some strong results.”

Romain Grosjean in the No.28 DHL Honda heads into the weekend having scored a podium here in 2021 and speaking ahead of the race he commented saying:

“I’m excited to be back in Indy. It’s such a great place for us in the season. Obviously, the first Indy road course wasn’t as good as we wanted it to, but we’ve put in a lot of work and made a lot of progress. We also have a strong car this weekend, so overall I’m excited to be racing in front of our fans in Indy.”

Colton Herta in the No.26 Gainbridge Honda is hoping to replicate Andretti Autosport’s recent success here this weekend and looking ahead to the weekend of racing he said:

“It’s great to be back in Indiana at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Andretti Autosport has had success at the Gallagher Grand Prix in the past. We’ve had a win and fast cars. So, hopefully we can replicate that success and have a good race.”

Devlin DeFrancesco is looking forward to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course saying:

“I am looking forward to returning to Indy this week to take on the road course for the second time this season. We learned a lot after the first IMS road course in May and I feel confident that the No. 29 will be strong.”

Andretti Autosport Chief Operating Officer Rob Edwards commented saying:

“It is great to be back in Indy after another win for Kyle and the No. 27 team in Nashville. We’ll take that positive energy as we look to pick up where we left off on the IMS road course. It’s important for us to start strong from the first practice session since the tight schedule will make Saturday an intense day for drivers, engineers and crews.”
