Robert Kubica who is testing with Williams Martini Racing at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi this week as Pirelli evaluate their 2018 tyre compounds completed 100 laps in the FW40 in his time in the car this morning before passing the car over to Lance Stroll.

Speaking to the media after his initial test, the Polish driver said that the worst thing he could do is convince himself he could come back and then have problems.

Kubica, who last competed in Formula One in Abu Dhabi in 2010 believes that he is potentially physically fitter than he was when he raced in F1 previously.

Kubica set the ninth fastest time of the day however Tuesday’s work was more about gets to grips with the 2017 spec Williams car and familiarizing himself with how it works.
