Kyle Larson, the driver of the No.5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series, has confirmed that he will compete in the double next season.
The 2021 Cup Series champion will compete in the 108th and 109th Indianapolis 500 in 2024 and 2025, respectively, with Arrow McLaren and is at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today (Thursday) to spend time with the team and see how they operate throughout the preparation for ‘The Greatest Spectacle In Racing.’
Larson, who was at the Arrow McLaren race shop recently for a partial seat fit, said that the visit to IMS today is the only time at the moment that he has to experience the NTT INDYCAR SERIES up close this season as a result of his NASCAR commitments.
Speaking during a news conference at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway earlier today, when asked if he would do the double, Larosn said that it will be an extremely busy Sunday as he will compete in both the Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
