Chip Ganassi Racing’s NASCAR star Kyle Larson has revealed that he wants the opportunity to compete in the Indianapolis 500.

Larson’s comments come after fellow NASCAR driver Kyle Busch revealed he was blocked from competing in this year’s Indy 500.

Earlier this season, team owner Chip Ganassi said that any deal for Larson to race in the Indy 500 has to make sense for both parties.

Speaking following the Brickyard 400 last weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Larson said:

I’ve got great teammates at Chip Ganassi Racing that I can lean on. “Scott Dixon is the best in racing. I can always talk to him. I’d be more curious to talk to Kurt Busch because he’s got my background and did an awesome job at Indy. If I ever did it, if I ever did get the chance, I’d talk to Kurt, for sure.”
