Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton has pleaded with his Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff to allow he and team mate Nico Rosberg race each other.
Hamilton who won the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday following another collision with his team mate and championship leader Nico Rosberg believes that the pit-wall should not dictate the result of a Grand Prix.
Hamilton also hopes that there will be no more incidents or at least a lot less of them. The time world champion’s comments come after Wolff confirmed following the Austrian Grand Prix that he decide this week whether or not to impose team orders on his drivers to avoid another incident such as the one in Austria.
Hamilton and Rosberg also collided in Spain four races ago and that was not the first time that the pair came together on track as at the Belgian Grand Prix in 2014.
Hamilton heads to his home race, the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone circuit this weekend just 11 points behind Nico Rosberg following his victory at the Austrian Grand Prix last weekend.
