It is will be the Frenchman’s fourth Dakar Rally.
Loeb returns to the FIA World Rally Championship in 2019, taking part in a partial programme with Hyundai Motorsport.
The 2019 Dakar Rally gets underway later today and runs until January 17. Loeb will not attend next weekend’s FIA World Rally Championship launch at the Autosport International show at Birmingham’s NEC Arena.
Speaking about the 2019 Dakar Rally, Loeb said:
To take part with my co-driver Daniel Elena is a fantastic challenge. Several teams will have a shot at winning and I hope we are one of them. I like the dunes. I haven’t forgotten everything I’ve learned these past three years and I’m still hungry for success!”
