Team Peugeot’s Sebastien Loeb maintained his lead in the 2017 Dakar Rally despite the fact that team mate Stephane Peterhansel take victory in Thursday’s 10th stage.

Peterhansel was involved in a crash with biker Simon Marcic, the Frenchman stayed with Marcic while a medical team evacuated the biker and lost time, however he awarded time back for waiting with Marcic and as a result took victory in stage 10.

Peterhansel took victory with a time of 04:47:00 ending the day 00:07:28 ahead of Loeb while Cyril Despres completing a Peugeot 1,2,3.
