Arrow McLaren’s Alexander Rossi in the No.7 Chevrolet says that the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach race suits his driving style, so he has won there twice.

Speaking to Paddock Eye ahead of this weekend’s race, the 2016 Indianapolis 500 winner said he would have friends and family at the race, giving him a phycological edge on the track.

Looking ahead to next week’s open test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next week ahead of the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge Rossi said that it is a great opportunity to button up the car and dial it in for May ahead of his first Indianapolis 500 with Arrow McLaren.

Paddock Eye also asked Rossi about how he feels traffic will be a factor this weekend, and he said he doesn’t see this as an issue given that the NTT INDYCAR SERIES has 27 full-time cars on the grid this season so it won’t be an issue.

Speaking about the addition of Tony Kanaan to the team for the Indianapolis 500, Rossi said that Arrow McLaren has the resources available to them to have four competitive cars for the Indianapolis 500.

Rossi goes into this weekend’s race in Long Beach in ninth place in the championship on 40 points.
