Williams Martini Racing’s Chief Technical Officer Paddy Lowe says he is excited by the team’s new driver line up for the 2019 Formula One season.
The Grove based outfit have signed rookie George Russell alongside the returning Robert Kubica and Lowe believes that Russell who came through the ranks the same way Charles Leclerc did and is driving for Ferrari next season following a strong debut season with the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team.
Lowe believes that Russell who joins the Williams team from Mercedes where he was development driver is one of the best young prospects in British motorsports and says that the outfit need to be patient with Russell.
Lowe believes that Russell can become a top driver in Formula One in the future. The team will be hoping that a mixture of youth and experience for 2019 will help them to move back up the grid following an extremely difficult 2018 season. Lowe has also revealed that the team have not laid out any expectations.
