Mercedes Executive Director (Technical) Paddy Lowe has confirmed that he is happy with the world champions despite speculation linking him with a move to rivals Ferrari.

Lowe, whose contract with Brackley based outfit runs out at the end of the season confirmed during Sunday’s Autosport Awards in the UK that he will sit down with Head of Mercedes Benz motorsport Toto Wolff now that the season is over to discuss his future.

The Englishman who joined Mercedes from McLaren in 2013 has played an instrumental role in the team’s recent success which has seen them dominate Formula One for the past three seasons with their latest triumph coming this season when they won the Constructors championship while their now former driver Nico Rosberg winning the Drivers championship for the first time.

Lowe who has been with Mercedes either directly or as a partner for 22 years sees no reason for the situation to change as he confirmed that both he and the team are very happy with the situation that they are currently in.
