The shocks keep coming from the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS F1 Team. The first shock was the retirement of world champion Nico Rosberg, now it looks as if Executive Director (technical) Paddy Lowe is set to leave the team.

It has been reported that Lowe, whose ckntract is up at the end of the month visited Ferrari with his wife recently.

However it has also been reported that Lowe who followed Lewiz Hamilton to Mercedes from McLaren has been offered and has accepted a senior managemebt role with the Williams Martini Racing Team.

It has been suggested that Lowe could replace Williams technical director Pat Symonds who it is thought is looking to call it quits following a long and successful career in F1.

It is also believed that should Lowe take up a new role at a rival team he would not be subject to a lengthly spell of ‘gardening leave’ due to his contract at Mercedes being up.

Whatever bappens over the coming weeks it is going to be very interesting and we will of course bring you all the latest news on this story as and when we get it.
