Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC team principal Tommi Makinen says he is looking forward to the second year of the team’s WRC programme and believes that Ott Tanak who has moved to the Finnish based outfit from M-Sport is a great asset to the team.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during the 2018 Autosport International Show at Birmingham’s NEC Arena, Makinen said that the team spent the off season going through all of the data from 2017 and he hopes that this will help them going forward in 2018.

Toyota took one victory in 2017 and this is something that Makinen wants to build on for the new season but knows that it will take time for Tanak to transition following his move across from M-Sport.
