Arrow McLaren’s David Malukas, driver of the No.6 NTT DATA Chevrolet, says that he aims to be back in the race car for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, which takes place on April 21st. Malukas tore ligaments in his left wrist in a mountain biking accident. speaking to Peacock during the second Thermal practice on Friday at The Thermal Club, Malukas said that he will get his pins out next week and will hopefully be in a position to get back in the car in time for Long Beach.

Malukas also said that he is getting used to working with a bigger team and getting to know everyone. Speaking about Pato O’Ward’s race in St Pete, Malukas said that Pato just makes it work when he gets in an INDYCAR. Having had a behind-the-scenes look at the race from the strategy stand, he has a new perspective and says that he won’t complain as much on the radio.

Malukas says that he will work with the INDYCAR medical team and get some sort of brace to use for the race on the streets of Long Beach.
