David Malukas in the No.4 Clarience Technologies AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet will be the driver to watch in tonight’s Bommarito Automotive Group 500.
Malukas and Foyt have had an incredible run of results in recent races.
The Chicago native started from the front row in Detroit last time out but got collected in an incident with Alex Palou.
Malukas also scored a fantastic second place finish at the Greatest Spectacle In Racing, the Indianapolis 500 last month.
In Detroit last time out, Santino Ferrucci scored his career-best road and street course result where he finished second.
Malukas had a great Saturday in St Louis as not only will start the race from fourth but he also led the final practice ahead of tonight’s race.
In his last two appearances in the Bommarito Automotive Group 500, Malukas has been on the podium.
Malukas has shown great pace this season and World Wide Technology Raceway is going to be a real test for Foyt however, we can expect the team to be extremely quick tonight.
The 2025 season will likely see AJ Foyt Racing score their first victory in many years and that could come tonight.
It will be interesting to see what happens in tonight’s race as tire degradation is going to play a crucial role in the outcome of the race.
Speaking about the tires ahead of the race this weekend, Cara Krstolic, Director of Race Tire Engineering and Manufacturing, Chief Engineer Motorsports said:
Last year, our team designed and produced Firestone Firehawk race tires
for both St. Louis and Milwaukee ovals specifically for the hybrid-powered Indy cars. Those tires had a more durable compound on the left side for last year’s race.We are providing the same tire design and same specifications for
this weekend’s event at St. Louis.
