David Malukas in the No.4 Clarience Technologies AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet says that the team gave him a fantastic car as the Chicago native picked up in St Louis where he left off in Detroit.

Malukas started the race in Detroit from the front row and at the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 he qualified 4th and ended the final practice ahead of Sunday’s race fastest.

As soon as I finished that run, I told the guys, I love that car,” said Malukas. “They gave me a fantastic car, and I was able to capitalize as much as I could from it.

Malukas went on to say:

Really happy. “As soon as we unloaded the car this afternoon, it was good. It was a little bit on the edge, so made the corrections for qualifying, and that was a fantastic car. I think it was damn near perfect for us. I made a mistake on that first lap, went too deep into one, and then corrected it on that second lap, and got a good result for us.

Malukas concluded saying:

So as long as we’re there, I’m happy. Well, I mean, it’s, it’s qualifying. So, you know, last year, he spun and still won it. So he’s gonna be there no matter what, but, I’m gonna be excited. It’s gonna be a good race.”
