Pippa Mann has already been confirmed as one of Dale Coyne Racing’s four drivers for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil later this month.
Paddock Eye has learnt that another English female driver is in talks to join Mann at Dale Coyne Racing for the most famous motor race on the planet.
IMSA driver Katherine Legge has opened talks with team owner Dale Coyne regarding the vacant seat in the No.19 Paysafe Honda as a result of Pietro Fittipaldi’s accident at Spa Francorchomps last week.
If Legge joins Coyne they would make history by becoming the first team to field two female drivers for the same race.
It would also be great news for fans of British motor racing and a great opportunity to show girls who want to race that if the persevere they can be successful in motorsport.
