Dale Coyne Racing’s Pippa Mann who had her best Indianapolis 500 finish on Sunday in 17th place should be considered as Sebastien Bourdais’ replacement until the Frenchman is ready to return to the cockpit.
Mann knows how the team operates and is familiar with the mechanics.
James Davison did a great job over the weekend coming in to replace Bourdais at short notice however Mann has been with the Coyne organization for many seasons and travels with the team to races.
The would also have an experienced driver in Mann which would compliment rookie Ed Jones who has been sensational this season having scored having scored a third place finish in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
I understand that sponsors will dictate who will be in the car for the rest of the season and Pippa may have other commitments but it would be great to see her continue in the car for the rest of the season.
