The NTT INDYCAR SERIES has a busy May ahead, with four crucial races on the horizon. May kicks off with the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park. Scott McLaughlin goes into the race looking to stamp his authority on the track, as he has won there the last two seasons. Following the race in Barber, INDYCAR will move into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

There are two events at the Brickyard, with the Sonsio Grand Prix of Indianapolis taking place on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course on Saturday, May 10. Practice for the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500, presented by Gainbridge, gets underway on Tuesday, May 13th, with qualifying taking place on Saturday, May 17th, and Sunday, May 18th.

The 109th running of the Indianapolis 500, presented by Gainbridge, takes place on Sunday, May 25. The following weekend, the series will head to Detroit for the Detroit Grand Prix.

When it comes to who is where when it comes to the championship heading into May, Alex Palou is leading the standings by 34 points from Andretti Global’s Kyle Kirkwood, who took victory at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach last time out.

Christian Lundgaard is the leading Chevrolet-powered driver for Arrow McLaren, coming off the back of two third-place finishes in Thermal and at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach last weekend.

Felix Rosenqvist is fourth in the championship for Meyer Shank Racing, while Scott Dixon is fifth in the standings.
