McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has confirmed that ths Woking based outfit are interested in aigning Sergio Perez for their NTT IndyCar Series programme for 2021 but admits that it won’t happen today or tomorrow.
Perez who will leave Racing Point at the end of the season has expressed an interest in competing in the NTT IndyCar Series.
Speaking at the Tuscan Grand Prix on Friday, Brown said that at the moment the team only have the budget for two full time cars next year but are willing to talk to Perez about a move to the US.
Brown said that it would have to make commercial sense with Perez.
The McLaren CEO has admitted however that he believes that Perez will remain in Formula One with either Haas or Alfa Romeo Racing.

Pato O’Ward heads into the Honda Indy 200 double-header at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course this weekend in third place in the championship with five races remaining this season.
