McLaren confirmed on Monday that they have appointed American businessman and former racing driver Zak Brown as Exexutive Director.
Mr Brown’s appointment comes in the wake of Ron Dennis’ departure from his positions of Chairman and CEO last week.
Paddock Eye understands that Mr Brown’s new role with be based purely within in the Formula One team and will report director to the McLaren management committee.
Brown will use his marketing knowledge to help to bring the Formula One team forward. Brown, who will take up his new role next month commented by saying:
