CEO of Verizon IndyCar Series parent company Hulman and Company has confirmed that McLaren Honda’s commercial partners will feature of Fernando Alonso’s McLaren Andretti Autosport car at next month’s Indianapolis 500.

It was announced on Wednesday that Alonso will skip the Monaco Grand Prix in favor of competing in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next month.

Miles who was an initial point of contact for McLaren Executive Director Zak Brown revealed that deal could not have happened were it not for the co-operation between Honda’s F1 operations in Japan and Honda Racing America in California who helped to put the deal together.
