Arrow McLaren Racing SP CEO Zak Brown says he Hope’s to be able to announce their second driver alongside James Hinchcliffe for the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series season in the next 30 days. Brown confirmed that the team have spoken to all of the drivers that had been reported and that they are just waiting to iron out the finer details.

Brown confirmed that the team came close to signing Colton Herta for 20w0 but that he is happy that the Valencia native will be with Andretti Autosport next season however with Herta already under contract to Andretti for 2020 Brown knew it was going to be tough to get him out of his Andretti Autosport contract.

Brown said he hopes to have the strongest driver pairing possible for 2020 so that he can challenge James Hinchcliffe over the course of the season.

Brown also confirmed that their decision on their second driver will have an impact on whether or not the team run a third car for the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge next May.
