McLaren CEO Zak Brown has confirmed that the company will take delivery of their IndyCar’s in January.
The team announced earlier this month that they will have Chevrolet power for the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 next May. Brown has confirmed that they have their haulers ready and that the cars will be prepared at the company’s Woking base, the MTC.
Brown expects the cars to be delivered in mid to late January and will then head out to the US for testing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in April when Indianapolis 500 testing gets underway.
Brown has confirmed that the team already have sponsors secured for the race and he is delighted with the work that McLaren IndyCar president Bob Fernley is doing.
