Virgin Australia Supercar champion Scott McLaughlin says he is happy with how his experience of the NTT IndyCar Series has gone so far.
The New Zealander who earlier this week drove the No.2 Team Penske Chevrolet at the Circuit of the Americas in a full field test travelled from Austin to Fort Worth for Friday’s rookie oval test at Texas Motor Speedway.
Speaking to IndyCar.com following the Circuit of the Americas test, McLaughlin said:
INDYCAR racing is really fast. “There is so much grip in these cars — it is hard on your neck for sure man.
McLaughlin is currently only scheduled to compete in the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis on Saturday May 10, however his test at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday suggests that he is being lined up to compete in at least one oval race during the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series season.
