Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin says he is excited to get his first taste of driving an IndyCar on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday to complete his Rookie Orientation Programme.
The New Zealander who made his NTT IndyCar Series race debut in the season ending Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg on Sunday tweeted:

McLaughlin will be joined at the test by newly crowned six time champion Scott Dixon as well as Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter Reay, Takuma Sato and Ed Carpenter.
The test on both days will be open to the public on Mound two with fans taking temperature checks prior to entering the track.
