Team Penske has confirmed that Scott McLaughlin, in the No.3 Pennzoil Chevrolet, will not make a qualifying run in the Firestone Fast 12 for next weekend’s 109th running of the Indianapolis presented by Gainbridge following his massive crash coming out of turn two during qualifying practice on Sunday afternoon.

Kyle Moyer of Team Penske says that the team hope to have McLaughlin’s car ready for Monday’s final practice before Carb Day which gets underway at 1PM.

The news means that Scott McLaughlin will start the Greatest Spectacle In Racing from 12th place.
