World Rally Championship driver Kris Meeke has had a busy off season as he the Northern Irishman has led the development of Citroen Racing’s 2017 C3 World Rally car.

Meeke is joined in 2017 by Craig Breen and Stephane Lefebvre who will initially share a second Citroen C3. The new WRC season gets underway in Monte Carlo in less than a month.

Meeke has been carrying out the development work for the French manufacturer who will have three C3 cars competing in the World Rally Championship as soon as possible according to Citroen team principal Yves Matton.

Speaking to the wrc.com about the new cars for 2017, Meeke commented by saying:

For me, the human element will come to the front even more in 2017, because in places it’s going to be difficult to extract the potential of these cars. At times they are so, so fast.
