Meyer Shank Racing who enter their second full-time NTT IndyCar Series season starting with this weekend’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park heads into the race with momentum firmly on their side following an extremely strong two-day open test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last week.

MSR has expanded to a two-car team for selected races this season with Helio Castroneves making his debut with the team at the Indianapolis 500 next month.

Speaking about the test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, team owner Mike Shank stated:

The test went really well for us. “We were able to get through everything that we needed to and we ended the final day eighth and tenth in top speeds. We’re feeling good leaving Indy and now we’re ready to bring that momentum to the season opener at Barber.

Jack Harvey, driver of the No.60 AutoNation Sirius XM Honda commented ahead of the start of the 2021 NTT IndyCar Series season at Barber Motorsports Park this weekend commented saying:

“I love going to Barber. “Our test that we had there in November looked pretty solid and I was happy with the car. I think that everyone is ready for the season to start. And not that we are kicking right back to normalcy, but being back at the track and racing, that’s our normal. The team has worked super hard in the off season, I feel like I’ve worked really hard in the off season, and I just want to go to Barber and get the result that I know this team is capable of.”
