Meyer Shank Racing co-owner Mike Shank says that the team are taking their time with Simon Pagenaud when it comes to the Frenchman returning to the cockpit of his INDYCAR.

Pagenaud suffered a huge crash in the second practice session at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar course last weekend and was replaced by Conor Daly.

Shank confirmed that Pagenaud, who will be re-evaluated on Monday ahead of next weekend’s Honda Indy Toronto that the Frenchman has a bit of a headache but that they will see how he is doing next week.

The team has also confirmed that they plan to rebuild Pagenaud’s car and that it will be used again later in the season.
