The Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park announced on Wednesday that Miss America and Birmingham native Abbie Stockard has been named the Grand Marshal for this year’s race, which takes place on Sunday, May 4.
As Grand Marshal, Stockard will have the honor of giving the official command for drivers to start their engines and participate in pre-race ceremonies. Her involvement underscores the event’s dedication to promoting health and wellness, aligning with the mission of Children’s of Alabama to provide comprehensive care to children in need.
